Grandmaster Ed Milam
- Grandmaster Ed Milam began his Taekwondo training in 1988 at Central Taekwondo located in the Central Elementary School in Elizabethton, TN. An Avid Competitor, Grandmaster Milam competed at the local, state, regional, and national level including two appearances in the Junior Olympic Taekwondo Championships. He founded Franklin Taekwondo as a second degree Black Belt in June of 1995 and has been providing quality martial arts training to the citizens of Elizabethton and Johnson City for nearly 30 years.

Master Brian Sharp
Master Sharp is a member of our instructor team. He began his Taekwondo training in 1985 at Tennessee Taekwondo Judo College in Knoxville, TN. Master Sharp loves the history of martial arts and the study of body mechanics and the science behind Taekwondo. A Poomsae specialist, Master Sharp has won both traditional and freestyle forms Championships at the regional, national, and international level. He has also studied Judo, Hapkido, and Kendo, and is an internationally certified Chanbara instructor. Master Sharp is a professional musician and music educator and runs Great Scot Music Studio in Gray, TN.

Instructor Mike Powell is a member of our instructor team and is the head Combat Hapkido instructor. Mr. Powell has been training in the Martial Arts for over twenty years. After earning his Black Belt in Karate, he took a small sabbatical to focus on his family and his work. Over ten years ago, Grandmaster Milam introduced him to Grand Master John Pellegrini and Combat Hapkido.
